Here we have the first three outer defenses against straight punches, this time with a stabbing motion. While executing the defense, you are straightening your arm, then lean forward and outside. For the defenses, one is the thumb out, two, the back of the hand is directed outward, and three, the pinky is directed outward.
A. Strikes

C. Outside "Stabbing" Defenses(from relevant stances, ready or passive)
D. Hand Defenses Against Regular (Front) Kicks
Notes: Advanced training includes defending against a front kick and a follow-on straight strike; Techniques #1.1 and #2 combined together are effectively against a kick of unknown height.
