Dear Krav Maga trainee, welcome to the graduate level two curriculum. Here in this level, we are progressing with our capabilities, spinning attacks. Why to spin? Because it’s the best solution, because it’s neat. It’s really we are being forced to spin an attack, with a spin. We are working also on different take downs, how to throw the attacker, the opponent. The main reason is to be able to get away from the person, or when that’s the best solution of course, to create win, meaning that the attacker will not be able to continue against us. By this, we are using a throw, of course it is a great solution.
We are dealing with less dangerous problems too. Such as release from shirt grabs, how to prevent it, how to deal with it. If somebody’s grabbing your shirt, it doesn’t mean that you’re going to smash his head. So how to release oneself from a shirt grab with one or two hands. And we also are dealing with more sophisticated and dangerous knife attacks. If at the previous levels, we dealt with circular attacks more, now it’s more straight attacks and the slashes. So train well, continue to progress, be safe, and all the best.
