You know in Krav Maga we should practice to do the different techniques to build a different solution while we are standing, sitting, laying down and also on the move. In Graduate Level 4, we have a section of defending ourselves while the attacker is grabbing us and taking us towards the ground, slamming into us, pushing us. The need is to go with the attacker and on the way to the ground we already start the technique, practically turning, falling on the opponent while doing attacks. In this level we also deal with knife attacks while we are in a sitting position or lying down on our back.
The attacker can come from different directions. Practically using the basic principles, the hand defenses, the body defenses, the active and dynamic defenses, the early counter attacks, the way of moving the body while we are in a sitting position on the ground, to deal with this new type of problem. Another section for the Graduate Level 4 is to deal with threats of long firearms. We are definitely using the principles of defending the pistol threats, however, there are modifications in order to deal with the rifle problems. The attacker may be from the front, the sides and the rear.
