Hi, everyone. Welcome to this week’s technique review, and today, together with Yoav  we’ll demonstrate improvement of attacking reflex and quietening the mind. Yoav has been a friend for dozen of years, and more than that. For the last 10 years approximately, working together, he has been the director and editor of the videos that we have been doing since the beginning of our project.

What we’re doing now is responding to pressure. I put my hands on my partner’s apertures shoulder area, both my hands are bent and we are very relaxed in a certain moment without any telegraphing, I push one side. Partner is supposed to be going with the push and initiate his own movement also, not be pushed only, but also generate his own torque keeping the balance. That’s the idea. Relaxing, breathing, don’t care, minimize the internal monologue here.

In a case that there is misunderstanding or misjudging on thinking too much and then there’s a pressure in a wrong direction, in this case, the partner will lose balance. If he’s resisting, he’s probably going to lose the balance. This is technique number one.

Technique number two, the next one, is when the partner is with the back to me, very relaxed I put the hands outside the shoulder blade or on the shoulder blade, scapular area, and here I push the partner. I push him. And he’s being pushed and initiate another movement or additional movement.

This was example of I feel that he’s resisting. Now, when you turn your body, also turn the heel. The moment any resistance happened, I feel it and he feels it. Little by little, he should drop his expectations. The next one is that he will attack … He will generate a strike, and really what’s generating the strike, the intuition, response to my push, and with the time, his punch will be very, very early, very, very intuitive. Yes, this was better one.

Here was example he made a mistake. That’s exactly the idea. We’re trying to quieten the mind, not have any expectations, what will be will be, and I do not telegraph any motions. I just push. My push creates this strike, and there should not be any distance in a gaping time between my push and the punch, but my push is really the punch.

I punch the bag through his body. That’s the idea. Here, there was a wrong direction. He was expecting a certain move. Quiet the mind, do not think anything, and immediately you’ll feel it as the one from behind. He feels it as the one who’s operating. You feel any resistance, which means he had some expectations. He was slowing down his responses, and with the time we’re becoming better with very intuitive fast responses and no resistance, so when time comes, you’re like the pistol, the loaded pistol, and the enemy is the finger on the trigger.

His actions, the action of the opponent, of the aggressor, is creating your response, so the enemy is the finger. You are the loaded gun. All the best guys. See you next time.
