It is very important to practice your weapons, your tools. The attacks and counter-attacks are very important. In this drill we’re demonstrating, the performer starting from passive stance and eyes closed. The performer is being activated by sound. The partner is hitting the pads one to another. The partner must locate himself in different positions, different areas, different distances, to enable the performer to practice the different kinds and types of attacks. Naturally we have here a very strong workout on the decision-making. Another way of activating and triggering the performer is naturally by touch. So the partner touches and then poses the two targets so the attacker activates by contact, and immediately posing the targets at the correct place in order to create the correct training drill. Naturally the partner must not be always in the direction from which he is touching, meaning the partner can stand at one side and touch you at the other side. We have to locate the targets as soon as possible and perform the attacks appropriately to the distance, range, height, et cetera.
