Overcoming a situation where your kicking leg has been caught. You kick the opponent, and he managed to trap and grab your leg. What are the dangers? One, that the opponent would advance and throw you, and the other one, that the opponent will kick you. These are the two dangers really. Your job is to prevent this, doing this in the following manner.
Try to strike the opponent as soon as you can with one of your free hands. Another option is to grab the opponent, trap him. Because this is a range of a leg, you should advance as soon as you can, pushing your leg through the grip. So with a push of the hips, you are sending your knee forward, your leg forward, your shin is sliding inside the opponent’s grabbed hand.
With your base leg, you can jump and kick the opponents with a knee kick to the groin. This usually you can do only after trapping the opponent’s body, neck, shoulder area. If the enemy is still holding you, bend your knee and kick your foot diagonally backwards while leaning forward. This will take your leg out from the trap. To conclude, your actions are composed of advancing, attacking, trapping, and releasing your leg, all sequenced as early as possible. You can see that the kick from the reverse angle, especially the essence of bending the knee and sending the leg backwards towards the ground.
