Remember, from time to time do the preventive measures. Don’t let the attacker grab you. And now, the upper arm release against the choke from the front, especially effective if the attacker is choking and pushing. Step backwards out of the channel of the attack. The upper arm is circling and removing the hands from your throat. When the elbow is more or less horizontal, shift to the counterattack. The first counterattack is always onto sideways. It can be a hammer punch, one elbow strike. Continue with other relevant counterattacks, and then finish the situation, remove yourself from the danger zone.
Upper arm release against the choke from behind, especially needed if the attacker is also pushing. Start with the upper arm movement towards your temple. Move diagonally forward, and get out from the channel of the attack. First counterattack with the back hand. Turning like this will prevent some mistakes with the releasing upper arm. Finish with other relevant counterattacks, and move away from the danger zone.
Release from a snatch from behind, mouth is being blocked. This technique is almost identical to the technique of a headlock from behind. Your arm and mouth have been grabbed. The attacker is pulling you backwards. Turn strongly towards the opening, while scraping the opponent’s hand off your mouth and face. Send your chin, as soon as possible, towards your shoulder. Pull the opponent’s palm towards your chest, towards your sternum, bend and take your head out of the loop of the opponent’s arm. Step by his side, and counterattack first with a knee kick to the groin. Continue as needed.
