These are defenses against straight punches. The defensive action with the heel of the hand moving diagonally forward. The body defense, the head movement, getting out of the line, out to the channel of the attack, it’s a defense with an immediate counter attack, while lowering the attacking hand and deliver a counter attack at the same time. Initial defense, in one and a half count you deliver the counter attack and continue with multiple counter attacks then moving away scanning the area and going for the next mission, the next thing to do.
B. Ready Stances and Movements
Notes: Punches are first practiced from a semi-passive stance;
later from a general ready stance. Practitioner should understand
principles of attacks and proper way to make a fist.
F. Kicks
Note: Kicks should be taught first from the passive stance, later from other stances.
G. Combinations Using Learned Attacks
General Note: Emphasize recoiling in all attacks (especially straight punches and regular kicks).
